Pens won't trade Martin unless Maatta comes back and is able to stay healthy. Even if they do this trade it would be Martin straight up for Williams. Both are rentals and pens wouldn't give up a prospect for a 33 year old rental. makes 0 sense |

Totally agree. If anything pens should get more in return because pmd's are not often available at the deadline, especially a quality pmd like Martin. |

No way a prospect goes with Martin. D is more valuable than forwards. Now if LA wants scuderi back, I'll gladly throw in a prospect to get rid of that contract. |

What prospect would the pens give? Megna? Lol I wouldn't pay anymore than that given that were giving a top d man. Throw them a 5th rounder or something as well and call it a day. Justin Williams is a rental as is martin. One for the other is even. |

If the Kings want a prospect included in a deal of this type, I myself doubt JR makes it without one coming back. So, move a middling defense prospect (someone like Ruopp ??) and the Kings return a comparable forward prospect.
But I totally agree this is a tough trade to make today given Maatta's current status. |
